WIIP Whitehaven Beach redevelopment Day-use and camp area upgrade

The Department of Environment and Science intend to redevelop and upgrade the Whitehaven Beach day-use and campground area which also includes fencing a large revegetation area, within the Whitsunday Islands National Park and require a suitably qualified contractor with demonstrated skills and experience to undertake all activities associated with the construction of these upgrades.
The camping area upgrade includes the establishment of 10 camping nodes and a group camping area with 2 small communal shelters. Park furniture is to be manufactured and installed along with entry stairs to the existing toilet building.
The day-use area upgrade includes the installation of 2 large shelters and the replacement of cyclone damaged furniture including benches, platforms and tables. Park furniture is to be manufactured and installed within this area and with alcoves along the beachfront.
Fencing of the revegetation area to restrict pedestrian access and establish beachfront alcoves.
