Developing a Future Service Delivery Model for Secure Care Services in Western Australia and Planning for a Purpose Built Facility ? Phase Two

The Department of Communities is undertaking a review and re-design of the current Secure Care service delivery model in Western Australia to ensure that the service can meet the needs of vulnerable children and young people into the future. The first phase of the future service delivery model design of Secure Care services in Western Australia has been completed and provides information on: Best practice secure care principles and feature of secure care modelsThe approach to providing secure care in other jurisdictions domestically and globallyThe strengths and weaknesses of the Centre’s current service delivery modelOpportunities for improvement in the development of a future service delivery model. The next stage of this re-design process will involve completing the design of the future Secure Care service delivery model and beginning the process of designing a purpose build facility in which this new service delivery model can be delivered. More specifically, the successful tenderer will be required to undertake three discrete but interconnected pieced of work: Develop a new Secure Care service delivery model for Western Australia,Develop a summary of operating model costs for the new service delivery model, andDevelop an architect functional design brief.
