The High Voltage power supply owned by National Parks and Wildlife Service that runs through Ku-ring-gai Chase, National Park consists of multiple aged assets that are in a deteriorated condition. This creates a high fire risk to the surrounding bushland, public assets and communities. The current infrastructure is continually failing, impacting the functionality of the surrounding infrastructure including Sewer pumping system, commercial businesses, visitor centres and multiple departmental offices, and the operation of the visitation areas. Recent inspections have highlighted termite impacted poles. Hence the need for upgrade works.
