Description
Requirements: Lead a team of professionals in managing and optimising network infrastructure. The role is for a network all-rounder who has a broad experience of LAN, WAN and network security environments.Provide technical expertise to plan, execute, and test the switch over of end user equipment from legacy network to the new segregated health LAN.Use end point analysis tools to identify devices and ensure that it is correctly tagged into the right micro segments.Use end point analysis tools to identify equipment traffic profiles to ensure that the right firewall rules and ACL’s are configured to support communication between micro segments.Create treatment plans from pre-determined templates to provide detailed checklists for equipment switch over.Work with service delivery teams to resolve issues with supporting services such as DNS, DHCP, certificates, group policy.Liase with service delivery teams to develop treatment plans for voice services to be established on new LAN.Experience with IoT, particularly medical environments will assist with identifying particular treatment plans and liaising with third parties to plan configuration changes.Work with HSP representatives to plan switch over of on prem compute, hypervisors to new LAN.Document treatments plans and work with technical change management to ensure good practice process is adhered to.Complete testing and test plans to validate backbone establishment and switch over activities. General networking experience: A general understanding of micro and macro segregation in Cisco environments.Have some experience of working with EUC (End User Computing) teams to establish information about what is attached to the network and how to keep it updated.Have experience of providing level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve Network and/or desktop issues.Worked within established configuration and change management processes to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.Selected and implemented security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team.Have experience of configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).Have good experience in monitoring network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.Experience of working with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.Operate effectively as part of a wider team of professionals and is outcome oriented. General knowledge of network security protocols and standards.
