Description

Background: The Mt Lawley Hospital ICT Commissioning Program supports the ICT transition of Mt Lawley Hospital from a private entity into the WA Health environment. The HSS ICT Business Unit supports the delivery of solution development, implementation, transition, and ongoing operational support for WA Health’s clinical and corporate systems. This includes: Strategic planning and architectureManagement of ICT networks, applications, and infrastructureICT service delivery and customer supportICT security, risk management, and protection of patient information To support the successful delivery of the Program and ensure a smooth ICT transition, the engagement of an experienced Project Manager is required. Resource Requirement The Program seeks the services of an experienced Project Manager to oversee and support key ICT-related workstreams. The resource will be required to provide specialist project management capability and ensure effective coordination across multiple stakeholders. Key Responsibilities The Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to: Leading and supporting HSS project planning activitiesCoordinating engagement, communication, and ICT approval processes to ensure visibility, accountability, and timely decision?making for implementationDelivering core project management functions, including: Development of project documentation (e.g., PID, Project Plan, Status Reports)Management of project scope, schedule, risk, issues, and budgetEnsuring compliance with program governance, reporting, and delivery requirements Negotiating resource allocation and HSS ICT services required to complete agreed scope elementsCollaborating with the Business Project Lead and the vendor Implementation Partner to deliver the HSS ICT workstreamApplying demonstrated hands?on experience within large?scale ICT environments; experience in the WA Health sector is highly desirable Required Skill Set The Project Manager is required to have at least the following skills and experience: Extensive experience delivering complex ICT implementation or transition programs;Strong capability in project planning, scheduling, governance, and delivery within large ICT environments;Demonstrated ability to manage scope, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and project change;Experience coordinating ICT design, architecture, security, and technical approval processes (HSS experience is highly desirable);Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and communication skills across both business and technical domains;Proven ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, implementation partners, and cross?functional teams;Experience working within WA Health or large health?sector ICT environments (highly desirable);Strong documentation and reporting capability (PIDs, Project Plans, RAID logs, governance reporting, financial tracking, etc.); and Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and deliver within agreed timelines Engagement Term Duration: Approximately 5 months initially, with the possibility of extension subject to budget availabilityEngagement Model: Time and materials The requested resource is essential to maintaining program momentum and ensuring the ICT transition for Mt Lawley Hospital is delivered safely, effectively, and within required timeframes.
