Description
The department is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced supplier to develop and trial a new national Preschool Outcome Measure including:
· New national learning progressions in two domains: executive function and oral language and literacy.
· A new national assessment tool designed for teachers and educators to measure a child’s learning and development against the agreed learning progressions.
· Alignment criteria for considering alignment of existing tools against the new national learning progressions for the purposes of the trial; and
· Professional Development and supports to ensure the national learning progressions and national assessment tool can be reliably used by teachers, educators, and educational leaders.
Outcomes from the development and trial of the new national Preschool Outcome Measure will inform Education Ministers on decisions about the future rollout or variation of the national Preschool Outcome Measure
