Provision of principal consultant, Roma Hospital student accommodation precinct, Roma Queensland 4455

The role of the Principal Consultant is to provide design team leadership and take primary responsibility for the coordination and delivery of all design documentation to Schematic Design level for the purpose of gaining Town Planning approval and for a Design and Construct (D&C) tender.

The Principal Consultant shall seek to build a strong rapport with Economic Development Queensland (EDQ – the Principal) and South West Hospital and Health Service (SWHHS – the User) so that the Principal and User’s expectations are achieved in the design.

The Principal Consultant shall exercise a standard of care appropriate for a professional consultant experienced and skilled in projects of a similar size and nature and in similar locations.

The Principal Consultant services are assumed to be led by the architect with a full sub-consultant team which includes:
• Architecture
• Interior design
• Landscape architecture
• Building engineering services (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, fire detection and protection, acoustics, security, communications)
• Structural and civil engineering
• Geotechnical engineering
• Traffic and carparking engineering
• Building Certification consultant
• Other specialist disciplines as required.
