Description
The Board of the Queensland Museum (QM) trading as The Workshops Rail Museum (TWRM) located in North Ipswich, Queensland - seeks to engage a suitably qualified and licensed principal Contractor whom meets the requirements for replacement of the Chiller Plant at TWRM including associated specific works in accordance with the Specifications.
The scope of works within the Specification and drawings encompasses the supply, installation and commissioning of a new Chiller Plant air-conditioning system and all other works required of a new Chiller Plant air-conditioning system in accordance with the WSP specifications document (including drawings and/or attachments) to:
a) reinstate economy mode function on Air Handling Units (AHUs);
b) address critical maintenance issues by significantly reducing unplanned maintenance, costs, outages and energy efficiencies;
c) install energy efficient mechanical equipment which will significantly reduce energy consumption;
d) provide a solution which will increase economic service life of Chiller Plant system components;
e) meet collection and conversation environmental conditions; and
f) achieve value for money.
This application is of a critical nature not only for comfort conditions.
TWRM anticipates awarding a Contract with the successful Tenderer late January 2017, with a view for the deliverables to commencing onsite in February 2017 with the final installations and commissioning completed 31 May 2017 and subsequently invoiced by no later than mid-June 2017.
Mandatory Industry Briefing (MIB): A Mandatory Industry Briefing (MIB) will take place at 10:00am on Monday, 12 December 2016 at the The Workshops Rail Museum, North Street, NORTH IPSWICH QLD 4305, which will precede the work site inspection. Only those Tenderers who attend the MIB in full, will be eligible to submit a tender.
This is the only opportunity for Tenderers to meet this mandatory requirement, attain comprehensive tender and project information, and attain the required site access for preparation of their Tenders. No late attendees will be admitted to the MIB or site inspection.
MIB registrations: Refer Additional Provisions to Tender document section 2.3.3for registration information. We request interested Tenderers thoroughly review the tender documents to ensure their organisation has both the capability and capacity to appropriately resource the complex tender (including mandatory) requirements, and then register their details for the MIB promptly as stated in the tender documents. Upon receipt of the emailed registration request, CAA will forward an email confirmation to the Tenderer.
The Corporate Administration Agency (CAA) is managing this tender process on behalf of TWRM, and is the contact point for all queries throughout the tender process. No queries should be made directly within the Queensland Museum agencies as they will be redirected to CAA.
This is a significant tendering opportunity for the entire package of works, and as such the Principal will not consider or accept part offers for this invitation.
