Description
This is a Major Works Contract for the construction of the replacement and upsizing of the existing 300mm gravity sewer main between Sutton Street and the Warragul WWTP.
The Contract Sum shall be full compensation for the complete construction of the works, construction plant, temporary works, commissioning, defects and liability for the works for the specified period, any remedial works and the replacement of any defective works. Extra monies will be paid only for work undertaken in accordance with Variation Orders issued in writing by the Superintendent
The Contract Sum is not subject to rise and fall or price variation, nor shall it be subject to variation due to changes in foreign exchange rates.
Overall Objective:
The overall objective of this contract is to:
- to increase the capacity of the north east sewer main between Sutton Street and the Warragul WWTP;
- to ensure the system has adequate hydraulic capacity to accommodate the ultimate future growth expected in the north east of Warragul; and
- to improve the reliability of the system.
