Prospector Entertainment Programme Media

The Prospector travels nine times a week in each direction (ie. 18 times) between Perth and Kalgoorlie in slightly less than seven hours. This Entertainment System has been recently replaced by a stand alone, in-seat on-demand, entertainment system capable of providing high quality audio and audio-visual entertainment for passengers on the Prospector railcar service. The new system will have the feature of allowing passengers to individually select and view movies as a result of the in-seat personalised screen.
In Addition it provides trip information in the form of moving maps and a driver’s view of the tracks via a camera mounted in the driver’s cabin. A number of existing electronic interfaces provide automated cues for the programmed viewing and other information or content available to the passengers.
As part of the operation of new entertainment system, it is necessary to provide audio visual media programming, in the form of movies, music, games, television programmes, internet radio, food and drink menus, moving maps and other facilitates.
