The Department of Police and Emergency Management’s vision is to provide a safe, secure and resilient Tasmania. In order to equip its members with the resources to achieve this, the Department is seeking the supply of a Multiuse Integrated Protection Vest (MIPV) and suitable hard armour plates.
This vest will be compulsory for all operational members and will supersede the current general issue of Load Bearing Vests (LBVs) and Ballistic Vests in circulation . The vest will provide coverage for ballistic and spike protection whilst the member is on duty and have load carriage capabilities.
