Principal Project Manager Infrastructure Delivery

The PTA has an extensive portfolio of major infrastructure projects currently valued at over $3.5 billion. Current projects include construction of a new underground Busport in Perth; major public transport infrastructure to support the operation of the new Perth Stadium; a new train station, bus interchange and major car park at Aubin Grove; the PTA’s first multi-deck car park at Edgewater Station and the Forrestfield-Airport Link (FAL) which provides a major new railway line to the eastern suburbs of Perth.

In order to deliver the current works program, the PTA requires experienced personnel in a number of areas of expertise. The immediate need is for a Principal Project Manager Infrastructure Delivery to be engaged to fulfil a key role on the new Perth Stadium Infrastructure Project (nPSTI). Future roles may involve leadership of or membership within teams carrying out project works within the current works program or in works that may become part of the Major Projects works program in future years.

The professional background of the person anticipated to be suited to this role is in Engineering with either a civil or a railway systems background or both combined. The railway systems can include track, electrical (traction power, high and low voltage), signalling, communications or related disciplines. None are specific pre-conditions or will be a cause for rejection of an offer, but are indicative of the type of industry and discipline area from which it is believed that suitable candidate may come. Additionally, this role calls for a high degree of experience and track record of project and contract management on major public transport infrastructure projects particularly in an operational electrified railway environment.
