Perth Zoo has been upgrading its orang-utan facilities for several years in a staged project. The final stage incorporates a raised boardwalk through thick foliage which offers vistas over/into the orang-utan exhibit in order that visitors can view the animals in their arboreal state. The integration of the story of the Zoo’s work in conservation of this species in-the-wild will be a major aspect of the outcome required from the design.
