Geraldton Hospital (GH) has been utilizing cardiology diagnostic services for several years to undertake inpatient echocardiograms.These services are an essential component of physician led medicine and provide an important diagnostic tool that informs patient care. Geraldton Hospital, as the regional resource centre, does not have a cardiology department and intends to purchase onsite cardiology diagnostic services on a fee for service basis including the supply of all equipment, including a Echocardiographer and high-speed internet.
GH require specialist, non-invasive diagnostic imaging services including:
- Onsite echocardiograms
- Exercise Stress testing
- Stress echocardiograms
- 24 hour and Multi Day Holter monitoring; and
- Bubble studies.
