Australian Government Department of Veterans' Affairs
Stories of Service Video Production
Details
Description
The Community Engagement Team (CET) in the Commemorations Branch of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) is tasked with producing education content that supports DVA’s Strategic Intent i.e. supporting the wellbeing of those who serve or have served. The education content is produced in print and electronic formats. The CET has published a set of six videos under the series title of Stories of Service; those videos present stories of the service of Australians during the Second World War. The videos have been published on the Anzac Portal www.anzacportal.dva.gov.au. Each video is around five minutes in duration.
A need has been identified to expand the Stories of Service series with the addition of six videos investigating the experiences of Australians from the First World War (three videos) and the Vietnam War (three videos). As with the first set of videos in the series, the second set will support the Australian Curriculum: History. The videos in the second set will also need to meet all accessibility standards in relation to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.
