Description

The objective of the procurement is to seek one or more providers to design and deliver an Export Fundamentals Program. This program aims to build export capacity in firms to accelerate value-added export growth.

The new Export Fundamentals Program will encompass the following three components:

  • Detailed program design and content development, including ongoing maintenance of online content
  • Program delivery
  • Ongoing mentoring and facilitation of connections

Service providers are invited to tender for one, two or all three of these components. DTTI will reserve the right to award a single contract for all three components or multiple contracts for one or two components to achieve the best outcome. DTTI may also encourage and facilitate collaboration between selected service providers for elements of the Program that best align with their capability and resources.

The new Export Fundamentals Program will respond to a gap in training available in the market, to encourage and support businesses interested in exporting to become the next generation of successful exporters.

It is targeted at supporting companies that are:

  • New to exporting
  • Not yet exporting and seriously considering exporting their products or services
  • Already exporting and looking to increase and optimise results
  • Already exporting and considering entering new markets
  • Already exporting and considering new products for export
  • Already exporting and considering a different distribution channel/partner

The Program is to be delivered in a highly professional mode, leveraging high quality content and facilitation. It shall include highly quality mentoring utilizing specialist providers with knowledge, experience and connections related to trade to maximize benefits to participants and generate significant new exports from South Australia.

The Export Fundamentals Program will need to:

  • Appeal to the greatest number of potential exporters possible across all sectors
  • Appeal to companies that produce both goods and services
  • Be delivered effectively and conveniently to companies in non-metropolitan Adelaide
  • Embody a flexible delivery model to enable participants to select only those components they require
  • Minimize the investment of time that participants need to be away from their businesses

A flexible and comprehensive model is required, integrating online resources, face-to-face delivery in both city and regions and remote delivery using tools such as webinars and video-conferencing and allowing businesses to be selective about which modules they believe will suit them best.
