Supply and Delivery of Medical Devices for the Orthotic and Prosthetic Service at Royal Perth Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital

The East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) has a requirement for the supply and delivery of medical devices for the Orthotic and Prosthetic Service, via the Health Technology Management Unit (HTMU) at Royal Perth Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital, for use in the treatment of muscular and skeletal problems. The Orthotic and Prosthetic Service, including the provision of products, operated at Fiona Stanley Hospital will be contracted by the South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) from the EMHS via a Service Level Agreement.

The Orthotic and Prosthetic Service prescribes, designs, manufactures and fits medical devices known as orthoses and prostheses for patients suffering from musculoskeletal issues. In excess of 4000 patients are seen by the Orthotic and Prosthetic Service each year.

The required medical devices may be fitted off-the-shelf or custom-made for inpatients and outpatients at Royal Perth Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital.
