Supply of Diesel Fuel, Storage and Bowsers to CSIRO MRO Murchison Western Australia
The Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (ASKAP) radio telescope currently under construction by CSIRO comprises an array of thirty six 12-m diameter antennas situated at the Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory (MRO), Australia’s core site for components of the international Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope and located within Boolardy Station, Western Australia. The ASKAP telescope is nearing completion, with all major infrastructure in place. In supporting this project CSIRO will be constructing A permanent solar/diesel power station is to be constructed at the MRO during 2013/2014. [Note that this request for tender does not cover supply of diesel to the permanent MRO power station.]
CSIRO has constructed an accommodation facility for its staff and its contractors adjacent to Boolardy Station Homestead (Site A) situated approximately 50km south of the telescope site (Site B). The accommodation facility caters for up to 40 people, the facility is currently operational and powered by temporary rented diesel generators.
