The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for MSQDVP452

The MV AUSTRALIA FAIR is submerged within small vessel anchorage approximately 250 metres off Horn Island cargo wharf, in position -10°35.367S 142°14.644E. The vessel has been submerged since 11/04/2022, in approximately 7 metres water (LAT), It is marked by a special mark nav aid buoy - 10°35.367S 142°14.644E. The vessel is in very poor condition.

Description – Approximately 13.64 metres (length), 4.93 metres (breadth), 2.57m (depth). Timber ex commercial passenger vessel (capacity to carry 52 persons). Built 1981. Weight over 30 tonne.

The MV QUEENSLANDER is at this time an unoperational dead ship. Currently located on a swing mooring CT051 within Thursday Island Harbour limits - approximately 10*35.337S 142*13.011E – water depth – 5 metres LAT

Description – Approximately 21.30 metres (length), 5.7m (breadth), 2.4metres (depth) – Timber ex commercial passenger vessel (Capacity to carry 120 passengers, plus 3 crew) Built 1981. Weight 112.41 tonne.
