The construction of a purpose-built Health Hub facility in the South West which aims to: Improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people in the South West region.Improve access to health and wellbeing service in the South West region.Provide comprehensive and coordinated health careOffer a suite of comprehensive services to address complex health needsCreate a safe environment with a focus on early intervention and prevention including drug and alcohol, mental health, family and carer support services. The proposed Health Hub will be built at Lot 4669 Forrest Avenue, Carey Park, WA. The land was gifted to SWAMS by the City of Bunbury in 2019. The project includes: Preliminary approvals (including Land Assembly)Tender and appointment of builderSite worksConstructionExternal works and landscapingFinal completion and occupancy The project will be a joint venture between the two levels of government (WA and Commonwealth), with each contributing an equal amount of funding.
