Details
Description
The Procurement Services Unit of the Department of Justice and Attorney (DJAG), Queensland Government, invites tenders from suppliers to undertake the Evaluation of the Specialist Domestic and Family Violence Court Trial in Southport.
On 28 February 2015 the Special Taskforce on Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) in Queensland released its report Not Now Not Ever: Putting an End to Domestic and Family Violence in Queensland. The report made 140 recommendations to address the issue of domestic and family violence, including four recommendations to establish a specialist domestic and family violence court. The Queensland Government accepted or supported all 140 recommendations of the Taskforce. The Government’s response stated: “As a first step, the Queensland Government will fund a trial of a specialist domestic and family violence court in Southport for six months. An evaluation of this trial will inform any future rollout across Queensland, as appropriate”.
