Vessel Charter Services – South Coast WA

The Contractors will be required to provide charter vessels with tender vessels and SCUBA diving facilities (if diving is scheduled) for marine and island based research. Live aboard amenities are also required. The charter vessel services fall under two categories:

(a) Category 1: Provision of charter vessel services to accommodate up to a minimum of six (6) DBCA staff to complete research and monitoring.

Category 1 vessels are required to have two (2) compressors (primary and backup) (or ability to carry two as DBCA may supply 1 compressor) with current air test certificates (required only on dive trips), and at least two (2) tender vessels in good working order, that will carry a minimum off three (3) DBCA staff in each vessel (including dive gear if diving activities are scheduled); and

(b) Category 2: Provision of charter vessel services to accommodate up to ten (10) DBCA staff with on board accommodation and research and monitoring capabilities.

Category 2 vessels are required to have two (2) compressors (primary and backup) (or ability to carry two as DBCA may supply 1 compressor) with current air test certificates (required only on dive trips), and at least two (2) tender vessels in good working order, with one (1) tender that will carry five (5) DBCA staff (including dive gear if diving activities are scheduled).

Respondents may submit for one or both categories depending on their vessel specifications
