Geographical Information System Data Maintenance Service

The Service Provider will be required to deliver geospatial and attribute data services for the whole of the Gippsland Water business and its customers. Reporting directly to the GIS Coordinator within the Asset Management team. Work required under this contract will be generated from a number of different departments via a Document Management workflow.

Geographical Information System (GIS) data maintenance work is to be assigned to the organisation through our Electronic Document Management System (HPE Content Manager) with set time frames for completion. Documents to be assigned are Plans of Subdivision, As- Constructed drawings, As-Constructed fieldnotes and Field Sketches which will be assigned from a number of different departments across Gippsland Water.

Over the past 5 years, work carried out under previous contracts has average out at approximately 450hrs per year. Workloads are entirely dependent on owner cost works carried out by developers, annual watermain and sewermain replacements and new constructions carried out by Gippsland Water. This figure is not a ceiling and workloads are entirely arbitrary.

These works will mainly be (but not limited to):

• Property Subdivisions
• Construction of new Water and Wastewater pipes and associated assets
• Modification to existing Water and Wastewater pipes and associated assets
• Construction of Facility assets like Water and Wastewater treatments plants and pump stations
• General maintenance of Water and Wastewater assets

All work is to be carried out in line with the GIS Data Supply Standard (COR/08/23743) and a sample of completed water and sewer GIS data can be found in File Note (FN/23/449).
