Description
Design, construction, supply and installation of equipment and the commissioning of the new traction 132 kV sub station and 25kV Feeder Station at Nowergup.
The Works comprise the following elements:
a) civil and structural works, including the civil works associated with complete site preparation of a 132 kV Traction substation. Western Power will provide 132kV power supply up to 132 kV Cable termination structure. (supply and installation of 132 kV Cable by others);
b) 132 kV/25 kV Traction substation;
c) 25 kV feeder station;
d) 25 kV and associated return conductor and bonding cables from the feeder station to the overhead equipment;
e) WPC Technical Rules 2007 document dated 26 April 2007, approved by Economic Regulator Authority, forms part of the Access Code. The Rules specify detailed technical requirements for the user connected load. Access Code requirements for Public Transport Authority connected Traction loads via 132 KV Single Phase substation and 25 KV Feeder stations, to comply with performance standards in respect to Harmonics and Power Factor satisfy the Negative Phase Sequence Voltage and Flicker;
f) Earthing design of the site; and
g) SCADA system design installation and commissioning including match with existing PTA traction SCADA system
A full Scope of Works is included in the Principal’s Project Requirements at Book 4 of this Request for Tender.
Mandatory Briefing
A Mandatory Briefing as pre-requisite to acceptance of this request for tender will be held at 10:00am in the Nowergup Depot, Communication Room, Hester Avenue, Nowergup on Thursday 14 July 2011. Please convene at the entrance gate 10 minutes prior to the briefing. Please contact Peter Davis by email ([email hidden]) by close of business Tuesday the 12 July 2011 to record your attendance.
As the briefing shall include a site visit please ensure you take full PPE including an orange high visibility vest, protective glasses, safety boots and a sun hat and visor if necessary.
Tenderers who fail to attend or be represented at the mandatory briefing will not be eligible for consideration under this Request for Tender.
