Description
The Health Services Directorate of the Department of Justice is responsible for the provision of primary health care to offenders in custody in Western Australia. Healthcare is provided to the same standard as that available in the community in accordance with the Standard Guidelines for Corrections in Australia (2012). This is referred to as “Community Equivalence”.
The Department of Justice (the Department) is seeking to engage a suitably qualified practitioner or organisation to provide optical services to offenders in custody at various sites throughout Western Australia.
The Department reserves the right to award the Contract to:
- A single Contractor appointed to all custodial sites; or
- Multiple Contractors, each appointed to one or more custodial sites.
No more than one (1) Contractor will be appointed for each custodial site.
