Description
The objective of this procurement is to maintain elective surgery delivery against an increase emergency surgery capacity at the Canberra Hospital by moving elective surgery to other facilities, freeing elective theatres and multistay beds for emergency work. Both emergency and elective surgery demands have increased over time, however capacity at the Canberra Hospital has not, until the completion of the new Clinical Services Building (CSB) on the CHS site. Moving a portion of elective surgery off site will create capacity for emergency theatres, as well as an increase in hospital bed availability and improve timeliness to surgery for patients waiting on the Elective Surgery Waiting Lists (ESWL).
