Description

The Department is seeking Offers for the provision of conservation works and interpretation works, as well as service upgrades to the Main Cell Block at Fremantle Prison.

The Works are required to remediate the impact of long term deterioration of fabric, and more recent works that removed damaging and deteriorated materials. The Works addresses deteriorated stonework and joinery, provides compliant universal access, and fire safety upgrades for user safety and building protection. Accordingly, a suitable Contractor with experience in working on heritage sites with particular expertise in render repairs, stonemasonry, carpentry, joinery and painting is required to oversee the works and to also make good significant heritage fabric.
