Tea Garden Creek Rock Ramp Fishway Civil Works

Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) invites Tenders from suitably qualified and experienced civil contractors to undertake the site preparation and in-river civil works in accordance with a specification and design contained in this Tender package.

GMW and North East Catchment Management Authority (NECMA) are collaborating to have the existing concrete fixed crest weir servicing the Tea Garden Creek in the Ovens River, just upstream of Everton, Victoria, replaced with a new ‘fixed crest’ rock-ramp fishway to provide fish passage past this obstruction in the Ovens River whilst still ensuring security of irrigation supply to the Tea Garden Creek irrigators. The construction of this fishway is proposed for the summer months of 2023, beginning in January 2023 and to be completed between March and April 2023. The contract will also include pre-site works to be completed from late November 2022 leading up to Christmas in preparation for the in-river works beginning in January 2023.

A Mandatory site inspection and briefing session will be held at 11.00am on Monday 15 August 2022 at 2282 Great Alpine Rd, Everton, Victoria 3678.

Tenderers must register details of attendees for the site inspection and briefing session by email to [email hidden] by 5:00pm (AEST) Friday 12 August 2022

If site is inaccessible at time of inspection, then an online briefing will be offered instead. Details will be forthcoming as the date approaches, please monitor VicTenders for any updates.

Tenderers shall be deemed non-compliant where the tenderer is not registered as attending the mandatory site inspection and briefing session.
