Description
The Macquarie Point Development Corporation has an existing contract with AECOM Australia for the provision of environmental contamination and remediation services. This existing contract included an option to extend the term for a further three years. At the completion of the initial term the corporation completed an internal review and assessed AECOM's performance as very satisfactory. Coinciding with the internal review was the State Government decision to reset the vision for Macquarie Point. For this reason the corporation recommended to its board that AECOM's contract be extended only from 3 May 2017 to 30 June 2018.
As the extended term is less than the three year option that was included in the initial contract, the extension took the form of a deed of variation to the existing contract.
