QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads
Inspection Certificates Online Solution
Details
Description
In Queensland, Safety Certificates are a requirement for any registered Light Vehicle, Light Trailer, caravan, or motorbike when offered for sale, or for a new registration if the vehicle was previously registered in another state. Heavy Vehicles over 4.5 tonne and Heavy Trailers over 3.5 tonne are required to have a current Certificate of Inspection when operating on a road. Inspections Certificates (both Safety Certificates and Certificate of Inspections) are currently recorded manually into triplicate certificate books by Approved Examiners and the vehicle operator is then required to present their copy of the Inspection Certificate to a TMR Customer Service Centre for manual data entry.
TMR is seeking a fully hosted online website and mobile application solution to enable Approved Examiners to complete and submit Inspection Certificates and Defect Clearance Notifications to TMR.
