Cedar Road and MacArthur Avenue Civil, Electrical and Landscape Construction Contract Northshore Hamilton

Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) requires the reconstruction of MacArthur Ave and the construction of Cedar Road, Barcham Street and Karkul Street and future development sites adjacent to the new roads. The roads are required to be constructed by 29 October 2021 to meet a contractual obligation for an adjacent land sale.

The Scope to be delivered includes, but is not limited to the supply of material, plant, labour and supervision necessary to carry out the following:

• Obtaining any approvals to undertake the works;
• Demolition of the existing surface features;
• Disposal of all demolished materials to approved facilities;
• Location and protection/relocation of existing services;
• Construction of UU sewer and water assets and connection to existing sewer and water assets and to service lots;
• Construction of stormwater systems including biobasins including connection to existing system and to service lots;
• Undertaking earthworks to meet the design levels;
• Construction of road pavements and associated road assets;
• Streetscape installation including all footpaths;
• Electrical works to service lots and provide streetlighting;
• Communications works to service lots and provide for future assets;
• Sediment and erosion control; and
• Obtaining on-maintenance and off-maintenance from Urban Utilities (UU), Energex and Brisbane City council (BCC)
