Description

The Queensland Government’s Queensland Water Modelling Network (QWMN) focuses on research and development activities to advance the effectiveness and strategic implementation of technical water assessment projects throughout the state. Activities support enhancement of the state’s water models and capability and capacity. The Network research themes for 2018/2019-2019/20 include: Climate Change, Landscape Restoration and Redesign, Water Planning, Integration and Management, and Model Management.

One priority for action is considering how the science underpinning systems models such as the MEDLI model, particularly with reference to nitrogen and phosphorus science. In the specific case of the MEDLI model this science has not been reviewed since the early 1990’s.

The Supplier will make a critical review of the science used in the Model for effluent disposal using land irrigation (MEDLI) specified in the attached documents to the Customer.
