Description

Queensland Multicultural Week, to be held from Saturday 31 August to Sunday 8 September 2013, is a new week-long program celebrating Queensland's rich cultural heritage, and replaces the Queensland Multicultural Festival which was held annually between 2004 and 2011.

This invitation seeks to appoint a coordinating organisation to plan, promote and deliver the inaugural 2013 Queensland Multicultural Week. The successful supplier will be responsible for delivery of a special events program, complementing community events across Queensland already funded through the Multicultural Partnerships Program 2012-2013 grants round, appropriate marketing of the Week, securing sponsorship where required to support the Week's events, arranging the Queensland Multicultural Awards Ceremony, and assisting with delivery of a Citizenship Ceremony.

The successful supplier will demonstrate capacity to engage a wide range of organisations and audiences during Queensland Multicultural Week, including youth and regional audiences, highlighting cultural diversity as a positive and valuable resource for Queensland.
