The 2010 Survey will be the tenth in a series that commenced in 1985. It is managed by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) on behalf of the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing (the Department).
The services required include: Conducting the Survey, provision of a clean, weighted unit record data set, analyses to support presentation of preliminary results and preparation of a technical report.
The Survey is Australia-wide and of approximately 25,000 persons aged 12 years and older. As in previous years, the Survey will consist of two modes; drop-and-collect (self-completion) and computer assisted telephone interviews (CATI). The drop-and-collect component will contribute 20,000 and CATI 5,000 responses.
