Intelligent Firewall Project

CQUniversity has embarked on an infrastructure renewal program. Part of this program includes the upgrade of its existing Firewall capability. It is expected that this project will deliver next generation firewall technologies to secure its online and local environments.

The motivation for this project is the necessity to replace the current aging solution and improve the capability to protect and secure University assets. However CQUniversity will be looking to redesign the security architecture with a new emphasis on Data Centre protection as well as implementing new firewall technologies and establishing a roadmap for further development of the new security architecture.

This project will implement hardware and software in line with new security architecture. It will provide for a replacement to the existing border firewall services and the implementation of internal firewalling
