Kin Kora State School - Amenities Block 1 Refurb (With Design Responsibility)

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of an amenities block refurbishment at Kin Kora SS, located at 41-43 Hibiscus Ave, Gladstone Central QLD 4680, as part of the Rectification and Reinstatement (R&R) program.

The works include demolition of the existing walls, fittings, fixtures, asbestos, roof and all finishes. Reconfiguration and refurbishment of the existing amenities, including all new plumbing, fittings, fixtures and finishes. The position of the building is at the front of the school with limited site access, but ample working space. All works are to be completed by the end of September 2023.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

·Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works

·Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1 Million

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance

It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
