Description
Comcare requires actuarial services including valuations of liabilities and advice on premium pools for claims under the SRC Act.
Comcare manages two workers’ compensation schemes under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act) which are the 'premium’ scheme and the 'pre-premium’ scheme.
Valuations of liabilities are required for claims under the SRC Act for each of the following segments:
- A. Commonwealth agencies that are ongoing premium payers;
- B. Former premium paying agencies;
- C. The ACT Government;
- D. Pre-premium claims (claims for injuries and diseases suffered before 1 July 1989); and
- E. Claims for asbestos-related diseases.
