Commercial Satellite Services

The provision of Commercial Satellite Services under a Managed Service Arrangement. The services will include:

a. Legacy Inmarsat Satellite Service terminals (I2 and/or I3 compliant):
(i) Inmarsat C; and
(ii) Inmarsat Aero H/H+/I (including Swift).

b. Next Generation Inmarsat Satellite Service terminals (I-4 compliant):
(i) Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN);
(ii) Fleet Broadband (FBB);
(iii) Swift Broadband (SBB); and
(iv) Inmarsat Global Satellite Phone Service (GSPS).

c. Inmarsat Global Express services (GX Services) Government Subscription Service (GSS) comprising:
(i) Maritime;
(ii) Land; and
(iii) Air.

The Commonwealth does not have an immediate requirement for High Capacity Beams – however Defence wishes to include flexibility for this service under this procurement.

d. High Capacity Beams Comprising:
(i) Military Ka-band Beam;
(ii) Commercial Ka-band Beam; and
(iii) Crossover configuration allowing cross banding between Military and Commercial Ka-bands.

e. Inmarsat L-band Tactical Satellite (L-TAC) services.

The Contract will also include a requirement for the provision/development of a Monitoring & Control tool.
