Provision of Coin Blanks

The Royal Australian Mint (RAM) invites Tenders from organisations for the manufacture and supply of technically compliant Coin Blanks for the production of Australia’s coin currency requirements.The procurement is for the provision of metals in various forms for the manufacture of circulating, uncirculated and proof coins by the RAM.

The metals requirements include:

a)Ready to Coin; and

b)As Cut blanks.

The Coin Blanks to be supplied are:

a)Cupro Nickel blanks (4 denominations); and

b)Aluminium Bronze blanks (2 denominations),

in the following grades:

c)circulating coins;

d)uncirculated and

e)proof coins.

Associated items include quality assurance, delivery and security, business continuity, technical management of specifications and management arrangements for the contract.
