Description
The Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA), Department of Mines and Petroleum requires the preparation of Petrographic Thin Sections and other Petrographic Services for example petrographic descriptions of thin section samples.
GSWA provides geoscientific data, information, and advice to the mining and petroleum industries, Government, and the public to encourage and support resource exploration and State development.
GSWA geoscientists provide regional geological, geophysical, and geochemical map products and reports. The preparation of quality petrographic sections and other services are required by the geoscientists engaged in field-based research, particularly in the interpretation of geochronology and regional geological mapping.
