Business Case for Proposed New Canning Bridge Bus Station

The Canning Bridge bus/ rail interchange is located adjacent to the Canning Bridge on Canning Highway, with vertical integration with the Canning Bridge rail station on the Perth to Mandurah rail line. The Public Transport Authority (PTA) considers this interchange to be a key Public Transport facility servicing public transport demand from the Como/ Canning Bridge area, as well as Curtin University and Canning Highway. This facility is currently experiencing peak period capacity constraints and operational problems with pedestrians. PTA is also of the view that future demand will soon create further capacity issues at this important interchange.
