Highland Wetlands: Conserving Habitat and Species in the Northern Tablelands of NSW Contract for Services - P24-6907

Wetlands in the Northern Tablelands region will be prioritised to increase the area of protected and enhanced wetlands on private and public property. Priority wetland sites (Upland Wetlands, Fens and Bogs) will be identified and mapped. Baseline floristic surveys will be conducted to establish baseline data for follow up monitoring to measure changes in floristic biodiversity, particularly within wetland areas that have undergone changes in land management activities. The project will increase awareness in land managers and the wider community on the significance of wetlands via site visits and facilitated workshops. Skills and Knowledge surveys will measure land manager's capacity to change land management practices.
