Description

The Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management is seeking tenders for the design, construction, fit out and delivery of an Offshore Police Patrol Vessel (OPPV) in order to provide the Department with a fit-for-purpose and contemporary aluminium monohull vessel to enable it to maintain current maritime capabilities, service delivery and operational outputs.

The scope of work will require the successful tenderer to design and construct the OPPV to the specifications and requirements, procure and install all systems and equipment, test, commission, sea trial, survey and deliver the OPPV to Hobart, Tasmania.

The OPPV is intended for service in Tasmanian coastal and offshore waters including Bass Strait, and seaward to a distance of 200 nautical miles.
