The Department of Treasury and Finance is seeking the services of an appropriatley qualified consultant to undertake a study to: consider the merits, and evalutate the effectiveness, of a range sentencing options being made available for gambling-related crimes (including a court-mandated diversion scheme to enable people to receive councelling for a gambling problem and and undertake community service for their crime); and assess the ability and effectiveness of improving data collection in courts and prisons.
