Description

The Department of Defence Capital Facilities and Infrastructure Branch (CFI) Project A8947 will provide modern, purpose-built facilities and improved infrastructure for the Special Air Service Regiment at Campbell barracks, Swanbourne, Western Australia.

The Services involve detailed design of new working accommodation facilities, infrastructure upgardes, new fibre transmission building and the demolition of three buildings. The working accommodation facilities will include office space, sensitive areas, briefing rooms, training facilities, store rooms, covered vehicle bays, living accommodation and associated ablutions and infrastructure. The Infrastructure works include new HV power supply, roads and footpaths, street lighting, water mains (fire and potable), sewer, ICT services, solar hot water systems, water tanks and solar panel systems.

There is potential for additional scope elements to be included in the Services, which is addressed in the Tender Documents.

The Services are intended to start in October 2013 in Planning Phase with completion on or before March 2018 at the end of Delivery Phase.

The estimated value of the Project is in the order of $175m.
