Description
An important principle of the Delivering Community Services in Partnership Policy is the sustainability of the Not-for-profit (NFP) sector. To provide sustainability and organisational capacity building support to the NFP sector, the Department of Finance, Government Procurement, Funding and Contracting Services Directorate has initiated a program of Capacity Building Grants available to NFP peak bodies (or similar organisations). In this context, capacity building involves the development of skills, knowledge and organisational strengh to more effectively respond to the current environment, opportunities and challenges.
The total amount of funding available for Capacity Building Grants is $480,000 (GST inclusive), with a maximum amount of up to $100,000 (GST inclusive) for each successful application. Funding will be provided by way of a grant agreement with the NFP organisation.
