Engineering Assurance Consultant - Radio Systems Replacement

The Radio Systems Replacement (RSR) Project is a major upgrade of the PTA?s existing radio system that will see the deployment of a new digital radio system for railway communications based on Long-Term Evolution (LTE) technology. The new radio system will initially support a standards-based mission-critical push-to-talk (MCPTT) voice application and a broadband data capability for projects such as High-Capacity Signalling (HCS). The RSR project is currently well into the delivery phase, with two major contracts awarded to Nokia and UGL in the later stages of design, with construction to commence during 2024. Project completion is expected in mid-2026. The project requires the services of an Engineering Assurance Consultant to assist the RSR project through the provision of engineering assurance services relating to engineering change management, measurement, calculation, and analysis of key performance indicators (KPI) and oversight and coordination of interface management, requirements management and systems engineering.
