THE QUEEN ELIZABETH HOSPITAL – ENABLING WORKS – SERVICES RELOCATIONS AND EDUCATION BUILDING DEMOLITION

The project includes the diversion of stormwater, sewer, domestic and fire water, steam and condensate, natural gas, high and low voltage electrical and communications inground services in a staged program. The Nurses Education annex of the CDRC building will be demolished with services decommissioned and made safe. Services including air conditioning, refrigeration systems, domestic hot, cold and fire water, electrical and communications between the Nurses Education and CDRC buildings will be diverted. New air conditioning and domestic hot water systems will be installed in the CDRC building. Structural strengthening of the services tunnel from the boiler house under the roadway to the Maternity building and structural works to the CDRC demolition facade are also required. Tenders will only be considered from DAIS tenderers who are Prequalified General Building Contractors in Category 3 at the time tenders close. Neither the lowest nor any tender will necessarily be accepted.
