A project to be undertaken

Infrastructure NSW requests the engagement of Casiluma Pty Ltd for Project Director Services for Powerhouse Parramatta for the term of the project. • The current contract with Casiluma expires 31 October 2022. • The position of Director Project Powerhouse Parramatta continues to be required within INSW and the position cannot be internally resourced. As shown in the attached risk assessment the direct engagement of Casiluma with the specific requirement to provide Simon Pagett for the role significantly reduces project risk to INSW. • Casiluma Pty Ltd represents excellent value for money to INSW as the maximum capped rate for a similar position under the standard commercial framework for Consultants in Construction of $3,500 per day ex GST. • A retendering of this service is unlikely to deliver improved rates and would expose PNSW to unnecessary project risk that could have considerable impact on both cost and timely delivery of PNSW projects. • Continuity and consistency in project management of major projects is of critical importance to PNSW. Note to Delegate • As INSW is an accredited procurement agency it can vary these guidelines based on a risk assessment. The relevant risk assessment is attached. The risk assessment clearly demonstrates that the direct engagement of Casiluma Consulting Pty Ltd provides a low risk value for money solution to PNSW in terms of continuity and consistency of project management in PNSW. A risk assessment is attached, with Budget approval.
