Upgrade of Daisy Hill Boardwalk and Springbrook Day Use Area Paths

The Department of Environment and Science (DES) through Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Partnerships (QPWS&P) has a requirement to engage a suitably experienced contractor(s) to upgrade/construct both the Paper Bark Boardwalk in Daisy Hill Conservation Park and paths in the Goomoolahra Day Use Area (DUA) at Springbrook.

There are a number of objectives associated with this project as a whole, including but not limited to:

1. Replacement of the existing 100m boardwalk on the Paperbark Trail, Daisy Hill Conservation Park with infrastructure that meets the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) requirements and AS1428.
2. Upgrading the Goomoolahra day use area path network in Springbrook National Park; including, the resurfacing of all secondary paths to class 2 in accordance with AS2156 (approximately 170m) and the installation of a primary path to class 1 in accordance with AS2156 (approximately 100m).

Works to be undertaken in accordance with:

• Daisy Hill Project Brief (Attachment 1) and with Daisy Hill Detailed Design and Contract documentation (Attachment 2)
• Goomoolahra Project Brief (Attachment 3) and with Goomoolahra Detailed Design and Contract documentation (Attachment 4)
